VIRGINIA "GINNY" R. SHAPPELL 68, Princeton, MN formerly of Blaine, MN
Passed away surrounded by her family on October 2, 2013.
Virginia was born to Russell and Ruth (Smith) Peterson on January 24, 1945 in Park Falls, WI. Her most cherished times were spent with her family, children and grandchildren. She also loved spending time outdoors, fishing, watching deer and caring for her pets. When she wasn't doing something with nature she was watching or listening to Elvis. After retiring from Medtronics, she enjoyed volunteering for Manna Market and SonLight Church.
Ginny is survived by brother, Ferd Peterson of White Bear Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Peterson of Pine City, MN; children, Gina (Joe) Diekman of Mounds View, MN, Timothy Shappell of Princeton, MN; grandchildren, Ceira, Jessica, Requel, & Brooke; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Arayiah, & Joseph; brother-in-law, Dennis Miller of Maplewood, MN; many nieces, nephews and cherished friends, Cheryl Bosteder and Vicki Benesch.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Peterson; sister, Shirley Miller. We will always love you and your memories are forever in our hearts.
Celebration of Life will be held Monday October 7th, 2013 from 3:00-7:00pm at the Diekman residents.
