Virginia W. Glazer, age 79 of Mounds View passed away at home on October 6, 2017. She died of failing health, first macular degeneration, then muscular degeneration, and eventually a heart attack.
Virginia, better known as Ginny, was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia and earned a bachelor’s degree from James Madison College. After graduation, she worked for Bradly Company in Washington D. C. and later for Hazelton Laboratories in Falls Church, Virginia where she married her beloved Robert.
She came to Mounds view, MN where she lived wither her husband since 1963. She worked for the First National Bank and later for Medtronics until becoming a full-time homemaker. She never forgot her friends and her family, she loved them all. She would spend hours talking to her aunt Allie Grey Robinson, friends in care facilities and her lifelong friends who now had terminal medical conditions. Her Father, Edward Wev, later died in Arlington, Virginia and her mother Clabie Wev, came to live with her and her husband in Minnesota until her death.
One of the things Ginny is best remembered for is her love of all animals, especially dogs; be they big, or small. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor, although, she became quite feisty at times, she was always sincere. For example, she would always say to Bob, "it might have been a good day for you hunting, but, no so for the birds!"
That was her.
Bob said it best, "She was always my Ginny, and she will be sorely missed"
Memorial service will be 2 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home 6210 Hwy 65 NE Fridley.
