Victoria Stegeman

Victoria Marie Stegeman, age 88, of Columbia Heights, MN, passed away on February 7, 2019 after a long struggle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lillian (Vetch) Lohmeier; brothers, Richard and Roger; daughter-in-law, Gayle (Kirkham) Stegeman. Vickie was born on November 23, 1930 and raised in Braham, MN, by her parents, Carl and Lillian (Vetch) Lohmeier. On May 22, 1948 Victoria married Vernon LeRoy Stegeman and moved to Minneapolis, MN. They purchased a home in Fridley, MN where they raised their five children. They later moved to Hinkley, MN before moving to Sandstone where they lived for 30 years until moving in to an assisted living facility in Columbia Heights. Vickie loved baking bread, rolls, pies, cakes, and cookies. She had her ritual of getting her hair done at Pat's Hair in Hinkley on Friday’s.  Vickie was a great wife, mother and friend and had a great sense of humor until the very end. She will be missed by all who knew her. Vickie is survived by her loving and supportive husband, Vernon; daughters, Sharon (Duane) Kirkland, Vicky (Robert) Linc; sons, Gerald (Gayle) Stegeman, James (Sandie) Stegeman, Thomas (Sandi) Stegeman; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Fealy.
