Valeria Elaine Harris (Schlobohm) was born on January 31st, 1931 on her parents farm in Faribault Minnesota, the daughter of Walter Schlobohm and Esther (Bauer) Schlobohm. She was one 7 siblings. As a youth she enjoyed playing in the creek that ran through the farm, and loved playing with dolls and setting up her play home amongst the trees in the grove on their farm. In 1948, she met the love of her life, Clayton Harris. As a young couple, they traveled through the states together, and then raised their three daughters. They lived in Minneapolis, MN, Indianapolis, IN, Bowling Green, KY, and finally settled in Spring Lake Park, MN. During her life she worked for JC Penney's, Wilson's Sporting Goods and the Spring Lake Park School District as Secretary where she was loved by teachers and students alike. She was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and homeroom mom, teaching her daughters the importance of being there for family..Clay and Val enjoyed 67 years together sharing the love of camping, square dancing and playing cards. All through her life Val was a faithful wife and mother who raised her family to know and love the Lord. This is a treasure for which we all are so immensely thankful. Val was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Spring Lake Park, where she had been active in the Altar Guild, choir and many Bible studies. Her willingness to help, her positive attitude and dependability will be treasured by all who knew her. Val is survived by her husband Clayton, daughters Linda (Marv), Laurie (Dan) and Kelly (Ted), brother Duane (Diane), sisters Lorraine and Eleanor, 7 grandchildren, Brooke, Shawn (Holly), Corey (Amanda), Katie, Jacquie, Kristen and Dianna; 5 great grandchildren, Eli, Drew, Sam, Abby and Georgia.
