Morton, Thomas "Tom" Lynn
Born August 29, 1951 in Benson, MN to Lynn and Mardell Morton. He passed Sunday, September 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom was an extremely intelligent, loving, faithful, outspoken, wonderful man. His hobbies included spending time with the love of his life, Charlene, and enjoying the outdoors, especially the lake. He loved to find creative ways to fix things, frequently the "go-to" man when it came to knowing how to work anything. Above all, Tom's favorite thing to do was talk; to anyone, anytime. He especially loved his children and grandchildren. Tom is survived by his wife, Charlene Morton "Babe"; three brothers, Ron (Mary) Morton, Wayne Morton and Bruce Morton; children, Nadine and Mike Erickson, Will Erickson, Nate (Amy) Morton, Becky Erickson, Michelle Morton, and Barbara (Mike) Flaten. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mardell Mabel (Mathias) Morton; father, Lynn Luverne Morton; baby sister, Nancy Lou Morton; and son, Thomas "Tommy" Erickson. Tom's smile, wisdom, and humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 14 at 11AM at the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 HWY 65 NE, Fridley with a visitation one hour prior.
