Sheryl Denise Bortot

Sheryl “Sheri” D. Bortot also known as ”Auntie”, 61 of Fridley, formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 29, 2023. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Darlene; sister, Kristine Bortot. She will be deeply missed by her son, Brett (Nicole) Bortot of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Autumn and Annie; siblings, Randall (Julaine) Bortot of St. Paul; niece, Alexis (James) Bortot Johnson of Coon Rapids ; nephews, Lance (Emily) Bortot of Mounds View, Luke Bortot of Roseville; great nieces and nephews, Mason and Maxwell, Chloe, Michael, Collin and Allison.

Sheri was born on April 8, 1962 in Downey, California to Robert and Darlene (Johnson) Bortot. She graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 1980 and later graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1984 with a degree in Agricultural Business. Sheri was a longtime employee for Target working both the corporate and sales side as well as HR for Medtronic.

Sheri was a member of many different bowling leagues over the years, resulting in the nick-name “Auntie Bowling.” She felt most at peace on the golf course spending countless hours on the green. Sheri enjoyed attending Twins, Wild, Viking and Packer games. Sheri took pride in her garden and spending time at the casino.

Sheri will be remembered for her infectious laugh that filled the room as well as her positive and bubbly attitude towards life. She had a good heart that loved to spend time with friends. She deeply loved and cared for her family, spending many hours supporting her nieces and nephews at sporting events. Her kind and outgoing heart will be dearly missed by all.
