Sharon (Shari) Lee Johnson of Roseville, MN passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 4, 1932 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the daughter of Herb and Verna Rylander. She is survived by her children, Jackie (Gary) Dalzell, Jon (Mary) Johnson; grandchildren Angie (Mark) Wallin, Byran Dalzell, Chris (Marie) Dalzell, Jessica (Stephen) St. Claire, Matthew Dalzell, Brandon (Karla) Johnson; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Maren Wallin, Dominic, Oliver, Faustina, Theodore and Gemme Dalzell, Luna Dalzell, Logan, Connor and Elise St. Claire, Paizley and Bo Johnson, and great grandchildren yet to come, many nieces, nephews and a vast array of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck) Johnson, parents Herb and Verna Rylander.
Herb, Shari’s father, was in the grocery business. Herb, Verna and Sharon moved to many different areas of the country including Fergus Falls, Aitkin, Virginia, and Hibbing. In 1948 they moved to Wadena MN. Shari called Wadena home. Shari graduated from Wadena High School in 1950. In 1951 Shari completed a Private Secretarial course at the Minnesota School of Business. After graduation, Shari worked for several businesses throughout her life including Bell Lumber and Pole in New Brighton, MN. After working for Bell Lumber and Pole for 26 years she retired in 1994 and with husband Charles moved to the Brainerd area, where they built their retirement home on Ruth Lake. In 2005 they returned to the Twin Cities and purchased a condo at Applewood Pointe in New Brighton. Shari moved to Cherrywood of Roseville in November of 2019, where she resided until God called her home. Shari had a big heart and loved unconditionally. She loved music, loved to cook, bake, eat lutefisk in a beta, travel, fish, square dance, camp, play cards and games, and she loved to be with her beloved family and wonderful friends. She was truly a blessing to her family and many, many friends and will be sorely missed by all.
My Tribute…To God be the Glory…” was her mantra.
Memorial Service Saturday June 18th 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior and a reception following at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley (763) 571-1500 . In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, any local VFW, Sharing and Caring Hands.
