Sharon Lee Eichinger, née Taaffe, age 77, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, after 6 years of post-stroke complications. Up until the end, Sharon maintained her joy of life, kindness, love of family and friends, and deep faith in our Lord. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sharon lived her life embracing every day as a gift. She had a passion for music, dancing, going to church, and traveling via cruise ships. Her family meant everything to her, and she showed her dedication and love to them by hosting gatherings, cooking delicious meals, caring for her grandchildren, and by being there for everyone via phone, Facebook, or prayer.

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, Marcus Eichinger; her daughter, Laurie (Jeremy) Hoffman, née Dombeck; grandchildren Avery, Izzie, and Mckenna; stepchildren Michi Eichinger, Winnie Eichinger, and Tom Eichinger; as well as step-grandchildren Lila, Lydia, Thomas, Marcus, Josef, Kellyanne, Stevie Rae, Thomas Jr., and step-great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Robert Taaffe, Jr. (Becky), Vernon Taaffe (Karina), Kevin Taaffe, Sr. (Mary), Leanne (Kevin) Gabby, née Holliday, Howard Holliday, Jr. (Julie) as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Holliday, née Stuhberg; father Robert Taaffe, Sr.; stepfather Howard Holliday, Sr.; and first husband Bernard Dombeck, Jr.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, March 18, at 11am, with visitation 1 hour prior at the Church of St. William, 6120 – 5th Street NE, Fridley, MN. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on the following day. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Stroke Association in Sharon’s name.
