It is with sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Scott Jaqua, who was called to his eternal resting place on February 18, 2025 at the age of 66. Scott suffered from Parkinson's Disease and frontotemporal dementia for 22 years. He was born on March 6, 1958 in El Paso, TX, to Robert and Marie Jaqua. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed. Scott had a loving heart and a goofy personality. He especially loved spending time with family and his "buddies". He also was passionate about snowmobiling, time spent outdoors, his dogs, and classic rock music. He enjoyed playing games, football, watching racing, traveling, sweets, and making others laugh. He was very strong and managed to keep his spark and humor up until the end of his life, which has been inspirational to many. Scott was proud to be an Army Veteran who served from 1982 to 1989. He was stationed in Germany for 4 years as a reconnaissance soldier. He met his wife, Kari, in 1990 on a blind date and they were married for 30 years. He lived in the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis for the last 15 years, where he received great care and is missed by staff there as well. There, he really enjoyed going to church and various events and outings within the community. Scott is survived by his wife, Kari Jaqua; daughter, Rebecca (Samuel) Johnson; father, Robert (Debbie) Jaqua; brother, Steven (Cheryl) Jaqua; son, Michael Jaqua; and brother-in-law, Gregory Comer. He was welcomed into heaven by his mother, Marie; daughter, Tracy; and parent in-laws, Robert and Betty Comer. Services will be held on March 1st at Miller Funeral Home & Crematory - 6210 Highway 65 NE Fridley, MN 55432. Visitation beginning at 11:00 am, funeral at 12:00 pm, and a luncheon to follow. A private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be on March 3rd.
