Scott Benefield

Scott Benefield, a Army Veteran who served 3 years in Viet Nam, was 74 years old when he passed away on April 4th at the Mpls. VA Hospital.  A graduate of Big Lake High School & St Cloud Technical College, Scott had a myriad of careers that ranged from optics, railroad technician, plumber, injection molder, & computer operator.  Scott loved music, could play the guitar & he had a great voice that was perfect for ballads.  He absolutely adored his daughter, step children, & grandchildren & loved going to their extra curricular activities.  His favorite leisure activities were cribbage, fishing & playing with our grandpuppy, Lucy.

Scott was preceded in death by father, Scott M. Benefield; mother, Lucy (Benefield) Voss; stepfather, Edwin Voss.  He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Corrine Hawkinson; daughter, Aurora DuVall; stepsons, Blake (Laura) Hawkinson, Joe Abshear, Brad Teslow; stepdaughters, Brenda Teslow, Denise Kemp; grandchildren, Correy, Rylan, Brielle; grandpuppy, Lucy.

Memorial service Friday, April 26th, 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at Eagle Brook Church, 8498 Sunset Road, Spring Lake Park. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
