Ruby Hulet

Ruby Verna (Olson) Hulet was born November 8, 1927 in Dunn Township, and reunited with her heavenly family September 25, 2018, at the age of 90 years old.

Ruby was preceded by husband, Howard; grandchild, Edwin Jacobson; parent, George and Allie Olson; brothers: Mert, Orvyn, Earl, Walter, Ernest, Douglas; and sisters, Gladys, Violet, Ruth and Bernice.

Her survivors include Jacqueline Hulet McGrand (Phil), Gwendolyn, Howard (Sandie), Jon, and James (Kathy); eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Mom’s early life in rural Northern Minnesota among Norwegian immigrants was populated with colorful characters and stories, both humorous and poignant.  Her upbringing nurtured her imagination and resilience, gifts passed to her children who she encouraged in their dreams. Sensitive, strong, she instilled compassion, a sense of justice and spirituality in those around her. A beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit.  We love her and miss her deeply.  We always will.

Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd at Miller Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.

Family burial at Fort Snelling on Thursday, October 4th.
