Roy Larson

Larson, Roy, age 83 of Blaine, passed away on Feb 21, 2020 at his home. Roy owned the largest Independent Officials Association in the state of MN and was known as “The Happy Ref.” He coached various sports over the years and was the former Blaine/Spring Lake Park Athletic Association Commissioner. He loved camping, fishing and playing cards. He traveled the world and enjoyed trips to Vegas. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Martha Larson; sisters, Lois Asplund, Donna Larson, Margaret Lundberg and Patricia Uthoff; and granddaughter, Brittany Larson. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Marie; sons, Timm (Josie), Steve (Sawat), Jeff and Doug (Cindy); 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Sandra) Larson; loving dog, Jessie; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri, Feb 28 at 10:30 with visitation beginning at 9:30 at the Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids.
