Rosemarie O'Neill

age 86 of Fridley entered eternal life June 21, 2013. Preceded in death by husband (Gerald), parents (Henry and Louise), and two brothers (Wilfred and Floyd).

Rosemarie Laumann was born on March 11, 1927 in St. Bonifacius, MN. She graduated from Mound Consolidated High School in 1945. She married Gerald Michael O'Neill on June 16, 1956 and moved to Duluth, MN. In 1958 the couple (with son Patrick) moved to Fridley, MN and had three more children - Brian, Michael, and Sharon. With Gerald's passing in 1971 Rosemarie became a single mother of four. She devoted herself to raising her children, which she did with the help of family and friends. In 2011 she moved to Roseville, MN to live with her daughter Sharon and family. She was a devoted and loving wife, a wonderful and caring mother, and caring grandmother. A lifelong Catholic, she had a particular devotion to the rosary, which was of special comfort to her during her final days. She died peacefully in her sleep at the home of her daughter.

Survived by sons Patrick (Gale) O'Neill, Brian (Monica) O'Neill and Michael (Diane) O'Neill; daughter Sharon (Jim) Rice; grandchildren Shannon O'Neill, Daniel O'Neill, Donna (Adam) O'Neill-Mika, Matthew O'Neill, Jordan O'Neill, Marcus O'Neill, Mary Rose Rice, Peter Rice, Paul Rice and Christina Rice; sister Dorothy Van Bergen; sister-in-law Dot Laumann; brother-in-law Fr. Blane O'Neill, OFM; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
