Roger Sandau

Sandau, Roger  Stanley, age 83 of Fridley.  Passed away on Oct. 11, 2017.  Roger graduated from Glencoe High School in 1952.. He joined the Air Force in 1954.  Married Carol Warnke in 1957. He graduated from Minnesota State University in 1959, and got his masters degree in 1960 from the University of Northern Colorado.  Roger taught in the Mpls. Public Schools from 1960-1990.  He coached boys soccer at Patrick Henry and later at South High.  Roger enjoyed going to Florida for the winter months and playing golf. He was very generous with a great sense of humor.  Preceded in death by parents, Reinhold & Sarah Sandau and sister, DeVelda Roth;  survived by loving wife of 60 years, Carol; son Mark (Trish); grandson, Jack; granddaughters, Emma & Trinity.  Memorial service with a visitation one hour prior on Tues. Oct. 17, 2017, 11 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4512 France Ave. N., Robbinsdale.  If desired, memorials preferred to the church.
