Richard Anthony Marasco

Richard Anthony Marasco, age 78, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota passed away on June 18, 2024. Richard was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 27th, 1946. He was the oldest of 3 children born to Roy and Marjorie Marasco. He grew up in Minneapolis, and after graduating from high school in 1964, he went on to get his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota. He worked at Norton company for many years in sales. On May 19, 1984, Richard married his devoted wife and best friend Carol. Rick was kind and showed his compassion whenever he took care of his wife during illness or injury. Richard loved the North Shore, so much so that he and Carol spent their 40th wedding anniversary there and were planning on returning in the fall. Carol remembers how much Rick loved his puppies, Katie and Sofi. He also loved to sing and play guitar and write original music. He will be remembered for his artistic and creative soul and his bigger than life love for Christmas. His greatest joy was being Carol's own personal Santa. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol, his stepmother Marjorie, sister Darlene Goins and brother Randy.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Church, 61 Mississippi Street NE, Fridley, with visitation one hour prior. In honor of Rick's legacy, we invite all his friends and family to wear their favorite Christmas shirt and share their favorite scripture.
