Ray Heidtke

Ray Walter Heidtke, 78, of Roseville, MN passed away November 15, 2013. He was born on January 6, 1935 in Fountain, MN to Walter and Erna Heidtke, and graduated from Wykoff High School, Wartburg College, and Wartburg Seminary. Ray married Bunice Danneman of Fulda, MN, and together they raised three daughters: Sandra (Rob) Larson of Decorah, IA, Lisa (Jim) Schlotterback, and Sonya (Ron) Huesman, both of Mounds View, MN. He had eight grandchildren – Karlton, Kelsie, and Patrick Larson, Ryan and Laura Schlotterback, Mikayla, Kylie, and Matthew Huesman – of whom he was very proud. As a Lutheran minister, he served several churches in eastern North Dakota, including Fredonia, Fargo, Valley City, and Verona, and several interim pastoral positions.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one nephew. He is survived by his loving family, along with his brother Mervin, sister MaryAnn Heidtke, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Mounds View, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wykoff, MN. Memorials preferred to Allina Health Hospice or donor's favorite charity.
