RaeAnn (Johnson) Bergengren, of Cambridge, Minnesota died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by loving family after an 11-month battle with cancer. RaeAnn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1948, to Ralph and Ann (Super) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Lake Park Lutheran Church. RaeAnn graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 1966. After high school, she moved to California where she attended Shasta and Southwest Community Colleges. She met her husband, Rod, in San Diego, where their two children were also born. RaeAnn had a talent for singing and often sang in the church choir at Bonita Valley Christian Center. In 1992, the family left California for greener pastures in Cambridge, Mn. For 15 years, she worked at Tiller's Carpet Cleaning as the office manager. She loved her job, co-workers, and clients, always working with dedication and pride. RaeAnn was a member of Emmanuel Christian Center and Victory Christian Center. She loved music, singing and mystery novels. She delighted in the outdoors, soaking up the sun, sight-seeing, and roadtrips, with a special fondness of the North Shore. She treasured time with her sister and best friend, Geraldine. Rescuing stray cats was her weakness. Special recognition she would want going to Splinter, her ninja cat, who is waiting for her in heaven. Most importantly, RaeAnn was a loving mother of two, committed wife, and devout Christian. She loved reading the Bible and prayed daily with determination for loved ones, even those who trespassed against her. Humble and giving, she was a faithful, strong and patient woman with a great passion for helping others... a shining example in a dimly lit world. Even through the last year of life, RaeAnn was full of zest and praised God in all things. RaeAnn is survived by her husband of 33 years, Rod Bergengren, daughter Janna Bergengren, son Nate (Audrey) Bergengren, granddaughter Vivian Rae Bergengren; her siblings, Geraldine (Larry) Haferman, Gordon (Janice) Johnson, Gary Johnson, Greg (Wendy) Johnson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. RaeAnn is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Gloria (Johnson) Griffith.
