Paul Innes Wilson

Wilson, Paul Innes, Age 89 of Fridley, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Paul Sr, and Dorothy, and brothers, Dennis Wilson, and Kenneth (Kenny) Wilson. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Grace, celebrating nearly 65 years of marriage. Paul is survived by his sister, Mary (Richard), children Steve (Andrea), Tim (Heather), and Sandy (Jack), grandchildren Joshua, Benjamin, Lauren, Elizabeth, Caroline, Tommy, and Jimmy. His grandchildren brought him immense joy throughout his life. Paul is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors, including “the eights” who traveled together and spent time enjoying life and each other’s company. Paul was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Paul was a true Minnesota sports fan, and an avid reader of the StarTribune sports section. Paul worked for many years with the General Accounting Office (GAO) and had numerous friends through his time there. He then worked for the State of Minnesota Gambling Control Board. He was certain that one day he would win the lottery and while he never won the jackpot, he had every family member, relative, neighbor, and friend on his list of those who would benefit from his hopeful win. Paul touched the lives of many who enjoyed his sense of humor, enthusiasm to help others, and his generosity. A special note of gratitude to the amazing staff at Brookdale Senior Living in Eagan and the entire team at Hospice of the Midwest for caring for him and providing quality of life through his final days.  Memorial service Friday, December 20th. 11:00am with visitation one hour prior all at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6120 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley.  Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
