Patricia Vant

Patricia Eileen Vant passed away peacefully at her home on November 16, 2014. She was born in Fridley on July 22, 1931, the youngest of ten children to Andrew and May Johanson. Pat attended Fridley and Columbia Heights schools. She married the love of her life Donald Vant on October 2nd, 1948. Three sons, Gary, Glen, and Steve were born of this union, followed by four grandchildren- Julia, Adrienne, Chris, and Briana, and four great-grandchildren. Pat had a generous spirit and opened her heart and home to any that needed it. She welcomed her son's friend Terry as her "adopted" son and warmly accepted many others for holidays. Pat loved taking her grandchildren to their lake cabin for a week every summer. She will be remembered by them as ageless and someone they could spend hours talking to. Pat also adored her great grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be so dearly missed and never forgotten. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald, her parents, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her sons Gary, Glen, and Steve, grandchildren Julia (Antoine) Valley, Adrienne (Jason) Hard, Chris (Marta Kirkhorn) Vant and Briana Vant, great-grandchildren Ryan, Megan, Aidan, Liam, and Olivia, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley. Funeral service Thursday 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
