Orville Bjorklund

Orville D. Bjorklund, age 94 of New Brighton, Minnesota died peacefully on Saturday March 1. Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, loving brother, his place in the family is remembered with great fondness and affection. Orv was born on December 25, 1919 in Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alpha E. Bjorklund (married August 16, 1944). Orv was a WWII veteran and was active in his church, and in the lives of those around him. His life was characterized by a strong faith, positive attitude, generosity and caring. He is survived by sister, Lorraine Pratt (Wally), Marine on St. Croix, MN, brother, Glen Bjorklund (Betty), Fridley, MN., sister in law, Ardelle Burt (Les); children, Pamela Carlson (Wayne), Stillwater, MN, Paula Morgan (Michael), Virginia Beach, VA., and Brian Bjorklund (Julie), Northfield, MN.;grandchildren, Lisa Sackreiter (Andy), Betsy Carlson (Michael Lemke), Britt Gangeness (Bjorn), Erik Carlson, Mike Morgan (MaryBeth), Matthew Morgan (Tricia), Melissa Oderman (Heath), Peter Bjorklund, Hans Bjorklund; fourteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Orv was lovingly cared for in his last days by the staff of Brightondale Senior Community.
