Opal Natalie (Collings) Boisvert of Spring Lake Park, passed away August 21, 2020 at the age of 90. The world lost the most wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
Opal, the oldest of 7 was born June 4, 1930 to Robert and Esther (Parker) Collings. She married Edward Boisvert on February 25, 1963 and together they raised 6 children. Opal had a great love of crossword puzzles, game shows, gardening, outdoors, animals, friends, and especially her family.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; brother, Bobby; sister, June; son, Jeff; and granddaughter, Angela.
She will forever be missed and loved by her children: Kathy (Joe) Deggendorf, Jay (Mary) Boisvert, Adele (Frank) Raffaelli, Ann (Brian) Walker, and Chrissy (Erik) Bollig; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Boisvert; grandchildren: Joe, Ben (Kari), and Sam Deggendorf; Bill, Maria, and Emily Walker; Sarah Raffaelli; Danielle Boisvert; great-grandchildren, Jack and Jeff Deggendorf; sisters, Myrna Gregerson and Barb (Chet) Kappes; brothers, Phil (Trish) and Bruce (Sharon) Collings; sister-in-law, Dorothy Daleiden; step-grandchildren: KaTeri (Josh), KaTrina, Kris (Katie), and Kim (Mike); step-great-grandchildren: Paige (Max), Michael, Megan, Nathan, Natalie, Issac, Dominic, Jayden, Evelyn, Lucille, and Aydin; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; plus her dear cat, Polly.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Nancy, Gladys, Bev, and the rest of the Culver's gang for getting Mom out and about to your special events through the years.
Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8th at Miller Funeral Home.
Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9th at Epiphany Catholic Church with Visitation one hour prior. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
