Olivia Ambuhl

August 30, 2000 — May 28, 2016

Princess Olivia - a beautiful child of God full of passion, creativity and beautiful from the inside out. Genuine, she was very caring and compassionate with a special love for children. Her tender heart drew many hurting people to her and she had a gift for ministering to others in life altering ways. She had a special bond with many. She recently was awarded a special award in a dance competition for her solo for "Dancing with her Heart" where the judges were caught up with emotion as she poured her heart into every movement on the stage. Whatever Olivia did - she put her whole heart into it.

Olivia's passion for the arts were expressed in many ways. She was typically found singing and dancing around the house and shared her many gifts and talents in many musicals, acting, competitive dance, art and singing. She shared her love of dance with children as a teacher at Moore Than Dance. Olivia was a favorite babysitter to many families, often bringing a plan for crafts and fun games. She fully engaged and interacted with the children she was blessed to care for.

Olivia loved her family and looked up to her brother, Alex. Together they enjoyed countless adventures. She was not afraid to take risks and do whatever he was doing. Her favorite memories included family time at cabins, engaging in water sports like tubing, adventure walks by the river, fishing, climbing on the roof and one on one time with her brother, her mom or one of her wonderful friends. Playing in the rain, dancing on the kitchen table, and whipped cream fights - the creativity and sporadic adventures were endless.

She was able to convince her stepdad, Mark, to take her to the DQ any time she wanted to. He had a soft spot for Olivia...and DQ. He never failed her when she wanted to go on the boat, he never said no to water sports with the kids and she knew it (even if mom said not now or it is too cold). She worked through Mark to get mom to say yes to a trampoline.

Very tender, beautiful and a girly girl, Olivia was also known to display her rough and tough side wrestling with her brother or the children she babysat. Olivia especially loved spending time with her mom, Dawn. They took advantage of every opportunity to do something memorable including cooking together, participating in retreats, acting in musicals, coloring, bike rides and taking special mother-daughter vacations. They were blessed to share their love and passion for singing on the worship team together a couple of times.

Olivia Ambuhl: all who met her remembered her. She is unforgetable and her legacy will live on. Remember her well and honor her by sharing the love, gifts and compassion she showed you with others.
