Anderson, Muriel E.

age 83, of Fridley, died March 17, 2015. Born March 10, 1932 near Grafton, NE, the youngest child of Ernest and Sarah (Kleinschmidt) Softley. After attending rural school, graduated Fairmont, NE high school. Honor graduate, University of Nebraska 1952, majoring in elementary education. Taught elementary grades in one-room country school in Fillmore County, NE, also in Fort Smith, AR, Lincoln, NE and St. Paul, MN. Married Rolan Anderson in 1953. Preceded in death by parents and siblings Dorothy Kauhl and Ralph Softley. Survived by husband, daughters Jane Anderson and Julie (Scott) Mies, grandchildren Anna, Thomas and Mathias Mies, nieces, nephews and cousins. Longtime member of Plymouth Congregational Church and Chapter DO, PEO, member of the Samoyed Association of Mpls. and St. Paul. Memorial Service on Saturday, April 11th at 2 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church with visitation one hour prior. Reception following the service. Interment at Fairmont, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet, Minneapolis, MN 55403-3756.
