Melvin Guck

Melvin J. Guck, age 77 of Pierz, passed away on May 21, 2021.

Melvin was born on January 3, 1944 in Mayhew Lake Township and grew up in Pierz, MN on a farm. At age 19 he married his first wife, Shirley and together they had a daughter, Tammy Lynn who passed away after a car accident.

Melvin spent time in Montana working as a laborer before beginning at 45 year career with Prospect Foundry. He married Sandra Bacon in August of 1995 and together they enjoyed dancing, watching western movies, and spending time with family. Melvin also loved the outdoors, cabin life and being out in the country.

Preceded in death by wife, Sandra Bacon; daughter, Tammy Lynn; parents, Ed & Caroline; siblings, Ray, Dan, Rose Marie, Jenny and Lorraine; sister in law, Marjorie; favorite brother in law, Glenn; and infant grandson, Nathan.

Survived by siblings, Arlene Dutcher and Lawrence Guck; sisters in law, Celine Guck and Helen Guck; children, Brian (Tosha) Bacon, Jeff (Marie) Bacon, Troy (Cindy) Bacon and Tanya Hendrix, grandchildren, Michael, Cassie, Nicholas, Dalton, Austin, Lauren Kay, Nathan, Ben and Livia; great grandchildren, Kayden and Xavier; and special friends, Richard Held and Lori Krebs.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley.

Interment in Morningside Memorial Gardens.
