Mavis Nielsen

Age 94, rested peacefully in the arms of Jesus on August 22, 2014. Born November 12, 1919 in Fertile, IA. Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and her son, Donald.
Survived by children, Betty (Gerry) Hults, David, and Tom (Theresa); 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; many loving relatives; special companion friend, Peggy; and many other friends.
Mavis enjoyed her family and friends, quilting at church, playing Scrabble, watching backyard wildlife, puzzles and flowers. She loved reading her Bible daily and listening to the Les Feldick Bible Program.
Funeral service 11 AM Wednesday, August 27 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi Way NE, Fridley, with a visitation starting at 9:30.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Reedemer Church Missions or Quilting.
