Rose was a member of St. William's Catholic Church in Fridley where she taught religion classes.

Rose was a beloved wife to Richard "Dick" Johnson and a devoted mother to her children, Richard Jr. (Carol Burnett), Rosanne Eggert, Rachelle Bengston (Steve), Reed (Mara), Renee Wolff (Thomas), Robyn. Her cooking brought her loved ones together around the dinner table.

In her leisure time, Rose delighted in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was participating in lively games of bingo, testing her luck at the casino, or savoring meals at her favorite restaurants, she always found happiness in these moments of respite.
