Age 70 of Columbia Heights, passed away on August 22, 2023.  Marylee graduated from Robbinsdale High School, obtained her Bachelor's degree from Augsburg College, and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of MN.  She practiced for 40 years in the mental health care field, including time at Community University Health Care Center (CUHCC) and NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center.  In her sister Linda's words, Marylee had a straightforward, tough love style of living, but she was also an extremely strong advocate for the weak and a willing helper to friends and family.  She loved her house, garden and yard in which she put many hours of hard work and pride.  But most of all, she loved her daughter Erin.  Erin came first before all else in her mother's heart and mind.

Marylee is survived by her loving daughter, Erin; fiancé, Mike Cullen; ex-husband and father of Erin, James Johnson; sisters Carla and Linda; and numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Virgil Carl Temple; mother, Evelyn Clemens, and brother, Larry.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley.  Memorials preferred to NorthPoint Health and Wellness Community Food Shelf.
