Mary Pipes

Mary Frances Pipes (Fran), age 81 of Fridley, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2017. Fran was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on August 6, 1936. She graduated from St. Margaret’s School. She married Ronald Pipes in 1956, her husband of 55 years. Together they had eight children; Thomas, Laura, Maureen, Janet, Susan, James, William and David. She raised her children and worked in the Fridley School District and adult education for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the lake house in Wisconsin, keeping in touch with family and friends, and feeding the many animals that passed through her backyard. Fran is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Pipes, parents William and Mary Tomann, brother Terrance Tomann and grandson Gregory Smith. She is survived by her eight children, 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am, Friday, Sept. 22 at St. Helena Catholic Church, 3204 43rd St, Minneapolis.
