Marian Edelen

Age 66 of Ham Lake, MN (formerly Clear Lake, IA), passed away 9/11/2011. Preceded in death by mother Lydia Luker. Marian loved her Lord and loved others. She was a former nurse, Hospital Auxiliary President, Alumni /Parent Relations Director at Concordia University, St. Paul, Youth, Sunday School and pre-school teacher, parent educator, Robin's Nest Children's Home-Jamaica Board President and Mary Kay consultant. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her loving Christian heart and smile radiated from her and will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved her. Survived by husband Charles; sons Jeffrey (Donna) Edelen and Thomas Edelen; daughter Christine (Robert) Garman; grandchildren Dillan, Cody, Jacob, Miranda, Eden and Beau; father Gilbert (Ardeen) Luker; brother Ronald (Georgia) Luker; sisters Jayne (John) Cambronne and Katherine (James) Bart; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 am Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2848 County Road H2, Mounds View, MN, 55112. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service all at Messiah Lutheran. Special prayer service Saturday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 East Fourth Street, Garner, IA 50438. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery, Garner, IA. Memorials preferred to Messiah Lutheran Church children's programs and Robin's Nest Children's Home in Jamaica.
