Marguerite Beaudreau

November 18, 1931 — November 27, 2016

Marguerite Anne (DeOme) Beaudreau of Fridley, Minnesota passed away at the age of 85. Marguerite (Peggy) was born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts in 1931, the daughter of John and Maude DeOme. Marguerite attended local schools in Whitinsville and graduated in 1949. She then worked in the Engineering department of the Whiten Machine Works in Whitinsville for five years until she married Adelard Beaudreau in 1952. Marguerite lived Rhode Island until 2002 when she moved to Minnesota to be closer to her family.

While living in Rhode Island, Marguerite was employed at the Cranston School Department for over 25 years as an Administrative Assistant. She was also the Secretary of the Pawtucket Numismatic Society and Parents without Partners. In Minnesota, Marguerite volunteered for over 500 hours on the Information Desk at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Marguerite loved to travel, sing, paint ceramics and crochet. Over the years she has created many beautiful afghans, scarves, knitted hats for newborns and prayer shawls.

Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Bernadette DeOme, Virginia Gervais and Madeline Ksienowitz. Marguerite is survived by her four children, Mark Beaudreau (Roseanna), Debra Beaudreau, Michelle Atchison (John) and Lynn Burns (Donald), and five grandchildren Terrence Leary (Samantha), Max Beaudreau, Jennifer Leary (Liem), Samantha Atchison and Gabriel Atchison. Marguerite is also survived by her two Great-Grandchildren, Wyatt Leary and Hank Leary.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids.
