age 76, of Fridley, passed away Feb 20, 2011. Born in Roosevelt MN and preceded in death by parents, Robert and Mae Carpenter; and siblings, Neva
(Strnad), Yvonne and Clinton "Carp".
Lyle served in the military 1956-58. He taught 8th grade geography and social studies at Columbia Heights starting in 1962 and retiring in 1994. He was a
loving husband, father and grandfather; world traveler; singer (beautiful tenor voice); genealogist; photographer. Lyle loved sitting in contemplation over water (fishing), walking in nature (hunting) and the company of his many friends and family.
Survived by wife, Marlyis; sons, Steven (Julie), Bryan (Susanne);
grandchildren, Colin, Quinn and Nicola.
Visitation Friday, March 4th, 5-8PM at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley with prayer and sharing of memories at 7PM. Memorial service Saturday, March 5th, 2PM at Salem Covenant Church,2655 5th St. NW, New Brighton, with a visitation one hour prior.
