Luella Wienk

Luella Marie (Wagner) Wienk Age 99, of Mpls, passed away on her 100th Easter, April 17th, 2022. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Wienk, her parents, one brother, two sisters and great granddaughter, Ella Grace Formo. She was born in Emery, SD. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she met and married Lloyd. From there, they moved to Rapid City, SD and eventually on to Alexandria, MN where they raised their two daughters, Terri and Kay. She enjoyed a variety of careers both in education at Alexandria Technical College and the medical field at Douglas County Hospital. Her hobbies included playing cards, bingo, golf and cheering for the Vikings and the Twins. She was also a very accomplished seamstress. Whenever asked how she was doing, her response was “ I’m still kickin butt”! Survived by daughters Terri Johnson (Gary), Kay Hedstrom (Mike); 5 grandchildren, Sean’ Johnson, Shannon Formo, Blake Hedstrom (Lyndsey), Cody Hedstrom (Rachel) and Riley Hedstrom; 6 great grandchildren, Carter Formo, Kylee Formo, Leyton Formo, Levi Johnson, Declan Johnson, and Dahlia Hedstrom. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 29th at 11:00am at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley, MN with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment St. Marys Cemetery and Mausoleum, Alexandria, MN.
