Lucille Seekins

August 6, 1938 — January 12, 2017

Lucy Seekins, 78, of Hugo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roger J. Seekins, "He was her rock, she was his calm" and her sister Betty (Elizabeth) Roloff. She is survived by her children, Jay (Cheryl) Seekins, Julie (Kevin) Gronlund, and Loretta (Dave) Richter; grandchildren, Guy Davis, Brooke Seekins, Danielle (Samuel) Trushenski, Brittany Seekins and Nikole Richter; sister, Evelyn Diehl and brother, Ronn O'Brien as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lucy was a gentle soul. Her and Roger were very active in the American Legion and their causes. She loved to bake and was very generous with giving away her baked goods. Per her request, there will not be a service at this time. A private family internment will take place at Ft. Snelling, where she will be placed with Roger. Please take a moment to remember Lucy by listening to "Make the World Go Away", by Eddy Arnold. Her favorite song. Any memorials preferred to be a donation in Lucy's name to Alzheimer's Foundation Research.
