Lucille Holznagel

November 6, 1921 — July 28, 2012

Age 90 of Spring Lake Park, formerly of Hinckley & Bloomington, MN, was born in Lebanon, South Dakota, and called home July 28, 2012 to join her first husband of 58 years, Ray; infant daughter, Marsha; & son, Gary, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind husband, Harris Hornseth; daughter Gloria (Ray) Holznagel King; granddaughter Joneen (Michael) Northquest; great-granddaughters, Michaela & Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Holznagel; and many nieces, nephews & friends. Lu will be best remembered for hew great love of music, compassion and the tender loving care she generously gave to help all of us grow. Lu was the Past Grand Organist, Minnesota Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and member of Lake Harriet Chapter No. 202. For nearly 60 years she taught piano & organ, being passionate about making a difference in the lives of her many students, as well as church organist for Trinity Episcopal Church, Hinckley, for 18 years. Lu will be greatly missed, but the love she planted in each of us will only grow stronger as she continues on her eternal journey. A very sincere & heartfelt thank you to the medical personnel & staff of White Pine Senior Living, Fridley; Lea Chiavaras, RN, CNP, Health Partners Hospice & Palliative Care team. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star ESTARL, 11501 Masonic Home Drive, Bloomington, MN 55437 (952-948-6800); Calvin Christian School, Music Dept., 8966 Pierce Street NE, Blaine, MN 55434; or donor's favorite charity. A private graveside service will be held.
