Loren Balfany
June 17, 1928 — September 18, 2017
Loren D. Balfany age 89, New Brighton, MN, passed away on 9/18/17. Survived by sisters, Arvilla Graen and Sharon Orstead; children, Dawn Pepper, Lori (Bruce), Craig (Cindy) and Joel Balfany; grandsons Austin and Jansen Balfany, Lucas Pepper; great grandson Tyler Pepper. Preceded in death by son Michael; grandsons Benjamin Pepper and Quinn Balfany. Loren (aka Larry) served in the Air Force. As the proprietor of Balfany Decorators, he left his creative touch across the Twin Cities. His passions were bowling, baseball and coaching in the MV Athletic Association. He found joy in pull tabs, meat raffles and screwdrivers. Special thanks to the staff at White Pine Assisted Living. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 21 at the Krause-Hartig VFW # 6587, 8100 Pleasant View Dr., Spring Lake Park from 4 – 8 pm. Private interment at Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
