Lillian Novack

December 13, 1923 — March 1, 2018

Novack (nee Hengel), Lillian E. age 94 of New Brighton.

Lillian was born in McGrath, Minnesota to August and Martha Hengel.
She had nine siblings; eight pre-deceased her, and when she joined them
on Thursday, what a joyful reunion it must have been!  Her brothers (George, Butch, and Donny) and sisters (Helen, Alva, Bertie,
Violet and Rosie) were there to greet her. Lil’s baby brother, David, survives her.  He was supportive to her through some scary surgeries.  She was so ready to go home when God called her name!

Lillian and her husband, Joe, raised their three children David, Mark and Tracy in New Brighton. Lillian volunteered at Crestview Lutheran Home for
thirty years. She was also a resident of the Boulevard Apartments
for nearly ten years. She made very dear friends there. Over the years,
she watched them come and go, grieving the absences but reveling
in each new friendship she made.

Her legacy is her family:  five grandchildren - Davis (Louisa), Amy Robling (Ken), Tesa Myatt, John Sullivan (Brenda) and Fran Sullivan; six great- grandchildren - Kaylyn, Alexis and Savanah Robling, Ben and Alyssa Novack, Blake; three great-great-grandchildren - Caleb and Madeline Novack and Dobby Robling.  Many friends also mourn her passing.

She was a beloved woman, with an unwavering faith in her loving Savior. She was always eager to tell others of Jesus.   It is so hard to let her go, but we know that her family and friends who've gone before her were waiting for her and finally they could say "Ah, here she comes!"  And the angels were singing...

I saw this little doodle by her chair (she liked to reflect):

Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt.
And dance like there's no one watching.

In her honor, be kind to one another, love one another, and dance.
