Lawrence"Larry" Bendel

Larry Bendel, age78 passed away May 2nd with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Larry will be remembered for his sharp wit, playful humor, and unwavering dedication to his family.  After a 30 year career with Ford, Larry enjoyed a retirement filled with baking, watching the Twins, and volunteering with AARP.  But above everything else, he valued spending time with his family.  Larry was always at his happiest sitting on the porch of his cabin up north, a good book in hand, listening to soothing sounds of the loons on the lake.  We all know he has returned to that place of happiness and peace again.  Larry is survived by Joanne, his wife of 56 years, their three daughters, Jenifer (Mark), Susan (Chris), and Elizabeth (Theodore), along with their children, Abby, Maddy, Savannah, Zach, Cole, Haley, Nathan, and Corey.  Larry is also survived by his siblings, Dr. Richard (Kay), Jim (Bev), Jack, Bill (Pat), MaryAnn (Dennis), and Kate.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose, and sister-in-law Jacky.  His legacy will live on with everyone who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 7th at 11 am with visitation one hour prior at the Church of St. William.  Interment Ft. Snelling at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
