childhood. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, and 7 siblings.

On October 12, 1939, Lauris wed Elmer Englund, her partner
of nearly 60 years in Thief River, MN. They were blessed with four children:
Desmond, Mercer, Dorene, and Ricky. Shortly after the birth of Desmond, they
moved to Seattle and remained there until 1947. Lauris worked at Boeing

church, remodeled it and made it their home. Lauris worked as a nursea(TM)s aide at
the Karlstad hospital.

In June 1957, the family moved to their new home in New
Brighton, MN. She went to work as a banquet waitress at Holiday Inn downtown
Minneapolis and St. Paul until retirement.

She enjoyed several activities as long as her family was
involved. She enjoyed her TV time and of course her many shopping adventures.

She remained in her home after Elmera(TM)s passing. After she
was having trouble getting around, she moved to Meadowood shores, a senior
apartment complex. After memory problems and several falls, she moved to Suite

always missed her home but she was very well taken care of. Her life was good
and complete.

eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
