Kevin James Solem

SOLEM, Kevin James, age 45, of Spring Lake Park, passed away on August 14, 2024.  He is preceded in death by his father, Kevin Arthur Solem; his grandparents Katherine Solem, Kenneth Solem, and Donald Bourke.  He is survived by his grandmother Betty Bourke; his mother, Diane Bourke; sister, Jennifer Lavik (Matthew); niece and nephews, Sophie Stebbins, Austin Stebbins, and Cameron Lavik; numerous cousins, other relatives and good friends.  Kevin was an avid Minnesota sports fan of the Vikings, Wild, Twins and Timberwolves.  He loved to laugh and always had a joke, funny meme or witty comment to add to the conversation. His passion was to play the drums whether it was with his band or just to jam with whoever wanted to.  He graduated from Brown Institute with an associates degree in graphic design, was a fantastic artist and loved to create. Kevin went through a lot of adversity in his life from the beginning and fought hard to get through all of the challenges that were sent his way. Through all of it he kept a sense of humor and kind loving heart. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Celebration of Life 2pm Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN with visitation one hour before service.

Interment will be at Isanti Union Cemetery, Isanti, Minnesota.
