Emblem

We are saddened to announce the passing of Keith Esget (88), AKA: Dad, Pops, Papa, EZ, Ezzard, Kiefer, Shit Kicker from South Dakota, on 1/1/24 of New Brighton, MN, due to a short battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome (Weasel) and Hazel, brother Jerry, Sister Mary, and Son Randy (Weasel Jr.), as well as his most cherished dogs Muffet and Zeeba.

He is survived by wife, Darleen, with 67 years of marriage, daughter Kathy (Kelly), and daughter-in-law Mona; 5 spectacular grandchildren - Sarah (Shawn), Jack (Sarah), Marcus, Jenna (Kevin), Sam (Emily), as well as 11 amazing great grandchildren, his loving brother Craig Esget, and many nieces and nephews.

As we all know, Keith was the biggest BS-er we knew. He loved talking to people and always had a joke or dirty comment in his conversations and his stories went on and on.  He had a way of making people feel like family and always had a Captain Morgan/Diet Dr. Pepper ready for anyone that stopped by.  If he called you "Numb Nuts," you were definitely considered a best friend.

There will be a celebration of life/open house on Friday, January 19th at Kraus-Hartig VFW (8100 Pleasant View Drive, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432 - Ph: (612) 963-5559 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  Please join us for a toast in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Darleen Esget.  Please contact Kathy Christensen (or other immediate family) for contact information.

There will be a family burial in South Dakota this summer.
