Katherine Kathman

Katherine (Katy) Kathman (Beaupre), age 75, passed away from Leukemia on October 22nd, 2022 surrounded by family. Katy was born on April 14th, 1947 in Warroad, MN. She married Gary Kathman on June 3rd, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN. Katy had four children Debra, David, Brian and Leanne. She worked at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN for 30 years and also at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN for 10 years.

She was a loving Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma and friend. She was an avid bowler and loved watching bowling, tennis, football and hockey. Katy loved cheering and watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids doing activities. She was at as many activities as she could and was always their #1 fan.

The last 10 years of her life were shaken up by the discovery of Dementia/Alzheimer’s in 2011 and was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She loved her trips up north to Warroad to see family and her trips with her daughter Leanne to Wisconsin to visit her granddaughter and family. Katy also enjoyed going to her son Brian’s for a BBQ and playing 31 with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Gary and Son David and many other family and friends.

She is survived by Sister Deb Pilarski, Daughter Debra Foldoe, Son Brian (Sara) Kathman, Daughter Leanne Kathman. Grandchildren; Arielle Foldoe, Marcus Foldoe, Tanya Bishop, Kayla Bishop, Marissa Bishop, Shayna Kathman, Faith Kathman & Robert Kathman. Great grandchildren; Keagan Root, Kaelynn Bishop, Jayden Root, Adam Smith, Tyler Gemlo, Elliot Gemlo & Nora Root.

Memorial Service to be held at Miller Funeral home in Fridley Saturday November 19th @ 12pm with visitation at 11am and a luncheon to follow at The Mary Ann Young Center at 1pm 9150 Central Ave NE Blaine, MN 55449
