Joseph James Call, affectionately known as Joe, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. He was born on December 8, 1942, in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, to Forest and Alvina Call (Luskey). He dedicated his life to family and community and was a cherished member of both.
Joe married his beloved wife, Jane Call (Howard), on January 12, 1973. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter, nurturing a family that has grown and flourished over the years.
Joseph is survived by his children, John (Tami) Call of Minneapolis, Kimberly (Bradley) Voelker of Hastings and Jennifer Call of Anoka. He took great pride in his Grandchildren, Alycia, Nik (Ashley), Kaylyn (Horace), Chris, Katie, Aaron and Ella, as well as his Great-grandchildren, Tyler, Shaun, Austin, Madisyn, Londyn, Neveah, Horace, and Dominique. Joe shared a special bond with his family; his presence will be dearly missed among them.
In addition to his immediate family, Joe is remembered by his brothers, Jerry (Linda) Call of Coon Rapids and John (Laurie) Call of Grey Eagle, as well as his brother-in-law, Bruce Tetzman of Minneapolis. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold cherished memories of him close to their hearts.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Alvina Call, his beloved wife, Jane, his mother-in-law, Ruth Howard, and sister-in-laws RuthAnne Tetzman and Mary Wiley. Each of these individuals played a significant role in his life, and their absence will be felt deeply.
Joe's legacy will continue through the love he shared and the lives he touched. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Christian Burial 11am Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Church of St. Timothy, 707 89th Ave NE., Blaine 55434. Visitation prior to the mass at 10am with a luncheon following the mass.
