John Crane

John Robert Crane, age 76, of Fridley, MN passed away at home Mar. 27, 2019 from COPD and cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Sherman and Nina; sister, Barb Roszell; brother, Scott. John was born in Stillwater, MN in 1942. He graduated from the Univ. of MN with a degree in EE. After his time in the US Army John worked his entire 35-year career at Unisys. John always had a positive attitude about life and a way of lifting others up. He was a generous and loyal friend and devoted husband, dad, and papa. His family was his priority and he loved to spend time at the cabin, skiing in Colorado and playing card games or bingo with his friends. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Gerri; daughters, Teresa (Wade) Hermes and Jodi (Paul) Crane-Murphy; “old age’s greatest gift,” grandchildren, Ryan and Ava Hermes; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Celebration of Life 4PM, Tue. Apr. 2, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 HWY 65 NE, Fridley, MN. Visitation 1 hr prior to the service. Following a gathering after the service everyone is invited to Shortstop Bar and Grill for happy hour.
