Jim Lambert

December 10, 1932 — September 1, 2015

James (Jim) Michael Lambert
passed in peace Tuesday, September 1. He was born in 1932 in West Concord, Minnesota. He married Nancy Mollers in 1957, and together they raised 8 children who later blessed him with 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
While he spent his childhood on the farm, his family moved to Minneapolis when he was a teenager. At Marshall High School, where he was dubbed "Bones," he played varsity basketball and also played the tuba in the marching band. After working as a "radio man" in the Air Force, he began what would be a 58 year marriage to Nancy and worked with his brothers at Lambert Floor Covering in Minneapolis, maintaining a 34 year membership with Local 596. He volunteered much of his time at St. Williams Catholic Church, Alcoholics Anonymous, Homes of Hope, and Caring and Sharing Hands. He enjoyed tennis, pool, mini-golf, ping pong, and cards. He often attended daily mass and worked out at the Y with Nancy.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Jane and siblings Helen, Irene, Leonard, Catherine, and Gerald. His loving survivors include siblings John Lambert and Jeanne (Al) Richard; wife Nancy; children Beth (Greg) Engel, Sean (Janet) Lambert, Julia (Mike) Frericks, Jennifer (Steve) Baker, Andrew Lambert, Sarah Lambert, Rose Mary Lambert, and Veronica Lambert; grandchildren Andrew, Katelyn and Nathan Engel, Rachel (John) Broersma, Andrea (Guy) East, Tiffany Lambert, Hannah (Jerrad) Bieno, Laura Frericks, Abigail (Matthew) Bennett, Sam Lambert, and Gabriel Bergen; great grandchildren Parker, Aviana and Paxton Broersma and Alexa East.
