Jewell Douglas

Jewell O. Douglas, died at the age of 78, on May 7, 2014 at Johanna Shores in Arden Hills, MN. Jewell was born on May 20, 1935 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. She was the first daughter of Elliott and Bertha Sharpe. Jewell is survived by her 2 sisters, Geraldine Steele and Willine Newby, and brothers, Dowell and Eugene. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Bertha, and brother Ezra. Jewell has 4 children, Carmela Hubler of Round Rock, Texas, Barton Douglas, Glenda McCalister, and Jeffrey Douglas, all of the Twin Cities. She has 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jewell was a very good mother to her 4 children and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very sweet woman, devoted wife, nurturing mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. We do not know of anyone who met Jewell that did not love her. She was very faithful in her church attendance with a strong faith in the LORD.
