Jerry Hildebrandt

Jerome “Jerry” Hildebrandt, age 83 of Ham Lake, passed away on Nov 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born on the farm homestead on June 26, 1939, to Otto And Laura Hildebrandt. He attended a country school for 8 years and graduated from Gaylord High School in 1958. He moved to Minneapolis and worked at Graco Manufacturing for 43 years. He married Eunice Bjorklund, and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. Jerry was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church for 50 years and served as an Elder for many years. Jerry was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Family was important to him. He enjoyed going to his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, especially soccer and hockey games. He was a dedicated fan of the Vikings and The Wild. He enjoyed fixing things, watching wildlife in their backyard, yard work, playing Shanghai and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Eunice; two sons, Bruce (Carol), Tom (Karen); and two daughters, Sandra (Don) Libby and Kris (Alex) Mendez; 9 grandchildren, Kellie, Kristin, Michael, Nathan, Andrew, Bryan, Schaelly, Emma and Matias; 12 great grandchildren, Ciara, Clayton, Lacey, Kristopher, Elizabeth, Owen, Peyton, Mason, Oliver, Maverick, Hazel and Harper; brothers, Don (Gerry) Roger; three sisters, Marlene Kloeckl, Lolly (Bob) Bauer, Darla (Larry) Abraham; and many nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Laura Hildebrandt; brothers, Charles, Arlen and Maynard; sisters in law, Jeannie Hildebrandt, Marlys Hildebrandt, Linda Hildebrandt, Louise Rodning, Ardella Aspelund; brothers in law, Paul Kloeckl , Ivan Aspelund, Willard Bjorklund and Gordon Bjorklund; niece, Patti Powers; and nephews, Mark Hildebrandt, Greg Kloeckl and Lowell Endrud.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec 2nd at 11:00AM with visitation one hour prior at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View. Memorials preferred to the church.
