James Papillon

February 20, 1930 — December 23, 2012

Papillon, James Boyd "Jim" "Pappy" age 82 of New Brighton, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 in Apache Junction, AZ. He was born in Forest River, ND and was a long time resident of the Twin Cities, lately wintering in the Phoenix area. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott; siblings, Arthur, Elizabeth, Frank, and Boyd. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bennie; three sons, Steve (Linda), Mike (Linda), Terry; daughter-in-law; Karen; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. He had a long career working for Parts Craft Corporation, starting out in the NAPA Warehouse in Minneapolis. He was an avid golfer after years as a fast pitch softball player and bowler, but best known as a dear friend and family man. Most of his grandchildren know him as the man who told them "Everything I make up is true." Memorial service Monday (Dec. 31), 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at the First Lutheran Church, 1555 40th Ave NE, Columbia
Heights, MN. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
