James Patrick Kinzie

James Kinzie, 81, beloved Father, Son, Spouse, Father-in-law, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on February 8, 2025. He entered this world on December 9, 1943 in Des Moines, IA, born to William and Waunita Kinzie. He is survived by his spouse Katherine (Kay) Kinzie; daughter Kristy Masso; daughter-in-law Jacki Kinzie; son-in-law Jeremy Masso; grandson Austin Kinzie; grandson Kirby Masso; granddaughter Haley Kinzie; granddaughter Emma Masso. James served in the Army and Army Reserves from 1966 - 1995. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 starting at 10 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View. Donations/memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Jim’s honor.

Jim enjoyed world traveling with family and friends, golf, bowling, and cribbage. He was an elder and leadership council president for Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View, and served as a Red Cross volunteer and Armed Forces Services Center volunteer. Jim was proud to serve his country in the Army for 3 years and Army Reserves for 26 years rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
