James Hammar

A loving husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with the lord on June 29 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Mr. Hammar was loved and amired by his family: his wife Patrice Helen (Guston) Hammar of 38 year; son John Hammar and his wife Shannon, and their children Genevieve and Everett; son James Hammar and his wife Jamie; daughter Linnea and her husband Tim Reynolds, and their son Caedmon; son Joshua Hammar and his wife Whitney; and son Justin Hammar and his wife Kati. He also is survived by a brother and two sisters; John and Janis Hammar; Sharon and husband Sandy Waterhouse; and Mary Jo and husband Ken Ayers. A funeral service celebrating Mr. Hammar's life will be held Saturday, July 2 at 11am at Church of the Cross, 201 9th Ave N. Hopkins, MN, 55343. Visitation is at 10am. Memorials preferred to Church of the Cross.
