Fridley

Jackie Lee Stark, affectionately known as Jack, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who passed away on December 15, 2024, in Fridley, Minnesota, at the age of 77. Born on August 8, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, Jack lived a life filled with love and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jack dedicated 41 years of his life to the pipe fitting and truck driving profession at Grinnell/Anvil. His commitment and work ethic were evident in all he did, but his true pride was found in the unwavering devotion to his family. He cherished his wife, Sandra Stark, and together they built a home filled with support and affection, creating countless memories that will be treasured by his loved ones. Jack often reflected on the life he had with his beautiful family, and he radiated joy when speaking of his roles as a husband, dad, and proud papa to his grandchildren.

An alum of Spring Lake Park High School, Jack carried the values of kindness and love throughout his life. He was always ready to lend a hand or share a moment of laughter, embodying a warmth that made everyone feel welcome. His amazing sense of humor brought light to many gatherings, while his steadfast presence offered comfort to those in need.

Jack honorably served in the United States Army, a testament to his commitment to community and country. Beyond his professional and service achievements, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included hunting, fishing, and simply being in the great outdoors. He savored the peace found in watching the birds at his feeder and took delight in cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, never missing a chance to support his team. Jack and Sandra also shared treasured moments at the casino, where they would enjoy each other's company and the thrill of the games. Coffee dates with friends were another source of joy for Jack, as he delighted in the conversations and connections that came with them.

Jack's family includes his loving wife Sandra; their son, Bill Stark, and daughter-in-law Bree Stark; daughter Brandy Sombrio and son-in-law Ray Sombrio; and daughter Desi Stark. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Cheyenne, Ashley, Gaven, Alexis, Austin, Lacie, Madison, Kalli, Aevery, and Lily, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy in his life.

Jack joins his parents, Frank and Margaret Stark; his brother, Francis Stark; and his sister, Helen Gregerson, in eternal rest. The love they shared will forever inspire those he leaves behind.

As we remember Jackie Lee Stark, we honor a man whose heart was as boundless as his kindness. His legacy lives on in the stories told by his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
